This is a magnificent sculpture, full of elegance and grace. Her hair is swept up high, and the fabric of her bridal gown clings to her feminine form. She uses her hands to emphasize the crowning glory of her hair and the decadence of the train as she lifts it aloft.
Tutani is well known for his exquisite sculptures of women. With a few deft lines, he captures the female form in all its beauty. Finally, he sculpts the features of her face with perfect delicate precision.
At just under two metres tall (roughly six feet), this sculpture is a real statement piece. Without doubt, she would grace any garden and would be a perfect garden centrepiece.
Springstone is the local Zimbabwean name for a hard variety of serpentine stone. It is suitable for outdoor display, even in temperate climates.
